School of Management's Faculty & Students Conduct UK International Exchange

From October 20 to 24, a 10-member delegation of faculty and students from the School of Management, led by Professor Zhao Zebin and Associate Professor Huang Yingying, undertook a five-day in-depth academic seminar and exchange programme at the University of York and the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom.

On October 21, the delegation visited the University of York. Both institutions conducted in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge research directions in artificial intelligence and economic management. Five outstanding PhD students from the School of Management shared their research findings in areas including AI environmental sustainability, digital technology, and big data & business analytics, establishing initial international academic ties with the university.

On October 22, the delegation visited the University of Glasgow. Three outstanding PhD students from the School of Management held extensive discussions with the university’s research team on topics such as emergency management, collaborative innovation, and consumer behaviour. Faculty and students from both institutions also engaged in constructive dialogue regarding the sharing of academic resources, joint applications for research projects, and collaborative hosting of international conferences, reaching preliminary agreements on cooperation. Upon the delegation’s return, a symposium was promptly organised where faculty and students shared insights gained from exchanges at two British universities, engaging in in-depth discussions on international collaboration and academic research.

This on-site exchange with two world-renowned institutions has further enhanced the School’s visibility and influence within the international academic community, laying a solid foundation for broader and deeper cooperation with world-leading universities in the future.
