Lecture Topic: Research and Practical Application of Technologies for Optimizing Production and Operations in the Petroleum Industry Chain

Speaker Profile

Fenglian DONG, a Senior Engineer and Senior Technical Expert at the PetroChina Planning & Engineering Institute (CPPEI). Her research focuses on the development and application of optimization models, algorithms, and software products for the petroleum industrial chain and supply chain. She led the development of domestically produced software for optimizing refining and petrochemical production planning, which has been successfully implemented at 27 CNPC refining and petrochemical enterprises and the corporate headquarters, breaking the foreign monopoly in this field. She has received numerous provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards and has published more than 20 academic papers.

Lecture Abstract

This lecture contains four topics, namely, challenges and optimization needs in the production and operations of petrochemical enterprises, optimization models for production and operations in the petroleum industry chain, algorithms for solving large-scale non-convex and nonlinear problems in the petroleum industry chain, and practical applications of optimization technologies in the production and operations of the petroleum industry chain.
