Accounting Department, as one of the key departments of institutions of higher education of Heilongjiang Province, was founded in 1987. In 2000, the Accounting master degree program was established with approval from the Ministry of Education. Since its establishment, by taking advantages of the rigorous, pragmatic style of school spirit and academic atmosphere, solid background in science or engineering, famous brand effect of the school, supports from other departments, and disciplinary development idea of high starting point with high standard, the professional development level of Accounting department is in the lead domestically, as well as enjoying good reputation abroad.

The department aims at cultivating well-rounded elites qualified with theoretical knowledge and practical ability of Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Management. Main courses include: Intermediate Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Audit, Tax Law, and Advanced Financial Management, etc. At completion of this program, they will be all-round talents and work for enterprises and public institutions, government sectors and financial institutions as accountants, auditors, and financial managers. Graduates of previous years have undertaken positions of financial vice-presidents, chief accountants, and chief financial officers in group companies, and accounting firm partners.
