Marketing
Introduction
The bachelor program in Marketing is a four-year education program with the aim to educate managerial talents with sufficient knowledge in products and technology, profound knowledge in business administration and marketing and strong practical skills and innovative mentality. The goal is to develop talents of marketing strategy and management, with solid professional knowledge of marketing, spirit of innovation, and strong practical abilities so as to meet the demand of manufacturing enterprises, merchandising enterprises, public institutions and government sectors. Graduates are suitable to study further in theoretical research and to join practical work of marketing and management for management consulting industry, manufacturing enterprises, public institutions, and government sectors. The main courses include: Fundamentals in Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Consumer Behavior Science, Market Survey and Forecast, Service Marketing, Network Marketing, Channel Management, Public Relations, Advertising, and Sales Promotion Strategy, etc. Students of Marketing major shall master solid engineering technology, knowledge of computer, and theoretical knowledge of economic management so as to develop the basic innovation and planning capabilities of analyzing and solving marketing problems independently. Marketing department has established a complete cultivation system for practical capability development improving students' learning environment and learning capabilities by entrepreneurial internship, professional practices and activities.
Teaching and Research
The department of Business Administration has 33 faculty members. Among them, 15 professors, including 13 doctoral supervisors, 2 overseas part-time professors, 16 associate professors, and 3 assistant professors. Among them 67% teachers have overseas studying and teaching experiences. In recent five years, more than 150 scientific research projects at national and ministerial level such as NFSC and “National Important Sciences and Technologies Projects” have been accomplished together with more than 800 academic papers being published.
International Cooperation and Communication
The department of Business Administration particularly emphasizes the cooperation with international well-known universities and institutions. Close scientific cooperation and academic exchange relationships have been established with countries of USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Italy, Korea and Hong Kong, which has provided good conditions for students’ application to obtain higher academic degrees in colleges and universities in the above countries and regions.
