Speaker Bio:Professor Cachon studies supply chain management, operation strategy and pricing with a focus on how technology transforms competitive dynamics and enables novel operational strategies.

He is an INFORMS Fellow, a Fellow and former President of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society, and the former Editor-in-Chief of  Management Science as well as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management.

He has authored two textbooks (along with Christian Terwiesch): Operations Management (2e) and Matching Supply with Demand: An Introduction to Operations Management (4e). These books have been used in undergraduate, MBA and executive MBA courses at Wharton as well as at numerous other business schools throughout the world.

His articles have appeared in Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Marketing Science, Operations Research, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Harvard Business Review, among others.

Speaker Bio:Professor Kamalini Ramdas is an expert in the innovation arena. Her current research examines new ways to create value through innovation, including: service innovation, operational innovation and business model innovation. She has also examined the amount of product variety and component-level variety that firms should offer, and how variety can be managed effectively through design.

She has served as co-principal investigator on a $1.2M grant to model and implement profitable cardiac preventive care via delivery innovation. She has also examined delivery innovation in an array of service industries supported by a grant from the UK Economic and Social Research Council.

Professor Ramdas’s work has been published in Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Harvard Business Review, and other journals. She has served as Departmental Editor, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Department, Management Science.

Her expertise has seen her consult on innovation and operations management in a variety of industries, including healthcare, telecoms, consumer packaged goods and assembled products.

She teaches a course on Business Model Innovation, as well as courses on Entrepreneurship, Operations Management, and Empirical Research Methods. She has taught at the University of Virginia, University of Texas at Austin, The Wharton School, and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Keynote Speaker: Wu Junjie

Speaker Bio:Dr. Wu Junjie is currently a full professor and the associate dean of the School of Economics and Management, Beihang University, and double employed professor of the Network Security College. Dr. Wu is the recipient of various national academic awards, including the National Young Talents and the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation. He has been engaged in cross-discipline research of management science, information science and social science. His research interests include data mining, big data computing, artificial intelligence, social governance, smart city, fintech, smart medical care, etc. His work has been published on international top journals including ISR, MISQ, TKDE and TOIS, and top conferences in the field of computer science such as KDD, IJCAI and AAAI.

Keynote Speaker: Si Zefu

Speaker Bio:Mr. Si Zefu obtained his master degree from Tsinghua University. He is a senior engineer, former chairman and party secretary of the Harbin Electric Group Corporation., representative of the 18th and 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, representative of the 12th National Congress of the Communist Youth League, and member of the 13th CPPCC. He once served as vice chairman, deputy party secretary and general manager of China Dongfang Electric Corporation, member of the Standing Committee and vice mayor of Deyang, Sichuan. Mr. Si Zefu has been engaged in China's equipment manufacturing industry for a long time and led Dongfang Electric and Harbin Electric Group to realize the great transformation of China's power generation equipment from backward pursuers to parallel runners. In particular, the Baihetan million KW unit proposed by him has succeeded., President Xi said in his congratulatory letter that "China's heavy equipment manufacturing industry has achieved a major breakthrough". Mr. Si Zefu has won the Labor Day Medal, the 2008 CCTV China Economic Figure of the Year award, outstanding entrepreneur in Sichuan, outstanding communist party member, and ten-year elite of Bashu.
